One of the most truly unique and exceptional cuisine experiences within El Gouna – The Chuchichäschtli Swiss House is really one of a kind, is the only authentic Swiss restaurant in the whole of the Red Sea and is an absolute must for anyone who loves cheese!
Located just behind the main streets of downtown, and recognisable from the giant red cow in the courtyard – from the moment you enter you feel like you are home. You are welcomed by the friendly staff and sometimes the owners themselves, Ivan and Torsten. You are then shown to your seat in what can only be described as cosy and warm atmosphere, with light wooden seating with traditional Swiss red tablecloths all around.
The menu consists of sublime culinary treats ranging from starters of fresh and creamy carrot soup, beautiful house salads and the extra special Valais Cheese slice. Main courses are even better; the Swiss House specialises in Meat Fondue, Cheese Fondue (with or without wine) the delicious Raclette hot cheese board with potatoes. And of course, the famous Hot Stone Fillet Steak. Finish off with the most delicious Toblerone Chocolate Fondue complete with fruit, marshmallows and cake – meant to be shared by two but easily enough just one portion for a chocolate lover!
Definitely one not to be missed, especially if you are a food lover.
