El Gouna Half Marathon is the Red Sea’s premier running event, taking place annually at Egypt’s most beautiful coastal town: El Gouna! 

​Inaugurated in 2019, El Gouna Half Marathon attracts over a thousand participants per yearly event and regularly welcomes runners from over 45 nationalities. The event features four distances: the 5K Race, 10K Race, and 21K Half Marathon, and the 1K Kids Race targeting children ages 5-10. All four distances begin and end at Abu Tig Marina, in the heart of El Gouna, and take runners on a tour of the destination, racing through areas including Downtown El Gouna, the Golf Course, Abydos Marina, Kite Centre Road, and much more. ​

El Gouna Half Marathon is organised by The TriFactory, Egypt’s leading participation sports event organiser, in collaboration with El Gouna Red Sea and Orascom Development. The event is organised under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports and is technically supervised by the Egyptian Athletics Federation, ensuring that all distances are organised to exact international standards, in line with major running races across the world.
